OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Triune God
We believe and declare there is only One God revealed through three distinct but coequal Persons. The Father. Jesus, known as the Son of God Who is fully Divine and fully man. The Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:17, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14)
Jesus is the Son of God
We believe and declare that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He has always been expressed outwardly from and through the Father as the Second Person of the Trinity. His outward form and nature is now a Man and we know His name as Jesus. He is fully human and fully God. He was crucified and buried, remained in the heart of the earth for three days, then resurrected from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus is the Creator of, and Senior to all creation everywhere and anywhere. No exceptions. (Luke 4:18; Mark 16:19. Matthew 28:18, Acts 2:24, Colossians 1:15-18)
The Bible
We believe and declare that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, revealing His mind and will concerning His creations. The Scriptures are without error and are the final authority on all matters of faith and how it is lived out. The Scriptures are in no way the product of human reasoning or desire. They are the result of individuals selected by God Himself, at particular periods of time, speaking precisely what God would have mankind to know. The Bible is the sole basis of our beliefs concerning all things “God”. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 119:89; Matthew 5:18; Isaiah 40:8)
Salvation is for Everyone through Jesus alone
We believe and declare that all men have sinned and are in need of salvation, which has been provided through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God that can only be obtained by repentance from one's own sins and by faith towards God through Jesus. Jesus is the sole Provider and means of redemption. (Romans 3:23, John 3:3, 16, Acts 4:12, I Timothy 2:5)
Water Baptism and Communion
We believe in the ordinance of Water Baptism by immersion as the public confirmation of a person’s salvation experience in Christ. Baptism is not a means of salvation. Yet baptism is expected by the Lord to be a primary demonstration of an individual’s commitment to Jesus Christ.
We regularly celebrate communion as a remembrance and celebration of the Lord’s death, resurrection, and imminent return. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:38-39, I Corinthians 11:23-25
Holy Spirit
We believe and declare that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Triune God. He is the breath and energy and manifester of the mind and power of God. He has been given to the Church to enable all believers to fulfill their particular gifts as given to them by God’s will and purposes. His endowments are both natural and supernatural. His supernatural gifts to include speaking in spiritual languages are as available and to be expected today as in the first century beginning at the Day of Pentecost. (John 7:37-39, John 14:16-17, 26, John 15:16, John 16:7-15, Acts 2:4, 14-22, I Corinthians 12:7-11)
The Great Commission
We believe in the Great Commission to preach the good news of Jesus, known as “the Gospel”, in all the world. There is salvation in no other name, Jesus has all authority in the heavens and the earth, and the entire world needs to hear this good news! Jesus has empowered the Church to lay hands on the sick for their recovery and to cast out devils from those who are oppressed. These are both mercies and proof that Jesus is Lord and that He wants the world to experience His mercy and grace. (Matthew 9:35; Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:17-18)
Marriage and Family
We believe in the institution of marriage as defined by the Bible. Marriage is a divine covenant between one biological man and one biological woman. There are only two genders. Male and female as decided by God and evidenced at birth.
Strong marriages make strong families, strong families make for strong churches, communities and ultimately a strong nation. We believe in passing on a legacy of faith and the knowledge of God’s ways to our children. The parents’ responsibility is to raise their children in light of the Scriptures, and it is the child’s duty to honor their father and mother and grow into all the Lord has created then for. (Genesis 2:24; Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 5:22-33; Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Ephesians 6:1-4)
Return of the Lord. Heaven. Hell
We believe in the visible and imminent return of the Lord Jesus, His millennial reign on the earth, and the resurrection of the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal damnation. Those who have committed their lives to Christ Jesus will live forever with Him in the presence of God. Those who have rejected him will exist in torment forever along with the devil and his angels. And that will suck tremendously! (Matthew 25:31-46, 1 John 3:1-3, I Thessalonians 4: 14-18, Revelations 20:11-15)
